WHY TRY YOGA THERAPY?

In our modern lives, many of us have moments where we feel "off" in our body, or our thoughts, or both; leaving us feeling imbalanced and ill-at-ease.

Often this dis-ease can show up as or during:

Working with imbalance often requires more than talk and more than movement. It's a combination of both. Yoga therapy mixes somatic movement, meditation and discussion to specifically address your needs.

WHAT IS YOGA THERAPY?

Yoga therapy is different than a typical group yoga class. It is usually in a 1:1 setting, but sometimes as a group. It starts with an intake process and then practices are tailored to you and your goals. In order to identify what serves you best, our work together is collaborative and you take the lead with your intent. I am there to support you on your journey.

What It's Like Working With Me

1) It all starts with an intro call. This is your opportunity to ask questions and explore how yoga therapy can be beneficial for you.

2) After the call, you will receive an intake form+initial assessment session which can be treated as a self check-in questionnaire. During the initial assessment session we will go over your answers in more detail and see what is showing up physically for you.

3) During the follow-up sessions we will refine and build on the practices that are working for you. It is highly recommended to do at least 3 follow-up sessions.

Hi everyone, I'm Laura. My teachings and studies have focused on physical manifestations of stress, trauma, burnout and grief, including the habits we pick up along the way. 

I have been teaching yoga and healing practices for over 18 years, am an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher, RYT 500, and currently in my second year of studies for Yoga Therapy.
